Kathleen Miller

    Kathleen Wiggins Matheson Miller, 90, of the Norwood community in Knoxville, Tenn., passed away Friday, May 6, 2016, at Graham Health
Care and Rehab Center in Robbinsville.
    She was a native of Robbinsville. She was the daughter of the late George W. Wiggins and Mary Jane Ellis Wiggins of Robbinsville.
    She was a graduate of Robbinsville High School and retired from the telecommunications department of Martin Marietta’s Y-12 Facility in Oak Ridge, Tenn.
    Kathleen was preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd Matheson, of Topton, and her second husband, Robert L. Miller of Knoxville, Tenn. She also was preceded in death by her father, George W. Wiggins; her mother, Mary Jane Ellis Wiggins; and her brother, Melvin Wiggins, all of Robbinsville.
    Kathleen is survived by her sisters-in-law, Gladys Anderson Wiggins of Robbinsville,  Bobbie Matheson of Topton, Lenore Cottrell of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; brother-in-law, Carroll Matheson of Topton; niece, Ann Wiggins Smith and husband Jimmy; nephew, Marvin Wiggins and wife Jerline; niece, Linda Wiggins McClung and husband Marshall, all of Robbinsville; niece, Carolyn Hyde of Topton; nephews Mike Matheson of Topton; Robbie George of Robbinsville; nephew, Steve Cottrell of Clinton, Tenn.; nephew, Gary Cottrell of Knoxville, Tenn.; niece and special friend, Joyce McNeil of Boone, who gave of her time to assist Kathleen with chores and driving when she got to the point that she needed help in Knoxville. She also is survived by several great-nieces and nephews.
    Kathleen was a member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tenn. She was a loving, caring daughter, wife, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law and aunt. She was really good at making her family feel special. She willingly helped those who needed help along the way.
    The family received friends from noon-1 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, at Rose Mortuary, Broadway Chapel, 1421 Broadway NE, Knoxville, Tenn. The funeral was at 1 p.m. in Rose’s Chapel. The Rev. Kent Williams of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church conducted the service. Following the service, interment was in Greenwood Cemetery at 3500 Tazewell Pike in Knoxville.
