James Guile Sr.
James Roger Guile Sr., 73, of Andrews, passed away Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Cobb County, Ga.
He was a native of Naples, N.Y., and the son of the late Leslie Guile and Lillian Sick Guile.
James was a devout Christian man. He enjoyed woodworking and deer hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Patterson Guile; one son, James R. Guile Jr. and wife Sheri of Warner Robins, Ga.; two daughters, Heidi Burns and husband Jeffrey of Dunnellon, Fla., and Jacquelyn Kijawski and husband Larry of Warner Robins, Ga.; two stepsons, Gary Patterson and Larry Patterson and wife Sandy; one stepdaughter, Rebekah Patterson; one brother, Thomas L. Guile Sr. of Dunnellon, Fla.; one sister, Rebecca Santiago of Farmington, N.Y.; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathryn Guile.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. The Rev. L.B. Adams officiated. Burial was in Ranger Baptist Church Cemetery.
