Garry Lynn Holloway, 64, of Murphy, passed away Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, at his residence.
He was born in Graham County to the late Wayne and Lorene Rogers Holloway.
Garry was a heavy equipment operator for clearing rightaways. He enjoyed the outdoors – camping, fishing and running. Garry also enjoyed running his loader. He loved his family.
Garry attended church at Christian Love Ministries.
He is survived by one son, Rocky Holloway of Murphy; one daughter, Libby Thigpen and husband Mark of Murphy; one brother, Billy Holloway of Robbinsville; five sisters, Rita Nesbitt and husband Don of Houston, Texas, Pam Holloway of Robbinsville, Opal Kenna of Blairsville, Ga., Laura Jane Reeves of Marietta, Ga., and Sue Booth of Murphy; two grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, at Journey Church of God in Murphy. The Rev. Denny Smith will officiate.
