Fannie Russell

Fannie Pearl Russell of Andrews died peacefully at home Friday, April 28, 2017, after an extended illness.
Ms. Russell was born April 1, 1934, in Unadilla, Ga., to Howard and Esther Williams.
She was married to Walter Russell Sr. until his death in 2000.
She enjoyed a long career of nursing and retired after 40 years. In 2008, she moved from Jersey City, N.J., to live with her granddaughter, Carmela Henry, in Andrews.
Aside from her career, she enjoyed many hobbies including reading, sewing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. But among her greatest joys were dedicating her life and being baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and spending time in the ministry, where she shared with people her Bible-based hope, and God’s sure promise, of everlasting life in perfect health on a paradise earth soon to come.
Ms. Russell is survived by her three children, 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, three siblings, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 6, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 500 Maltby Road in Marble.
