    Evelyn P. Campbell, 87, of the Hiwassee Dam community, Murphy, passed away Sunday, Feb.  21, 2016, at the residence of her daughter.
    She was a native of Polk County, Tenn., but had lived in Cherokee County since the age of six.
    She was a retired cafeteria manager for Hiwassee Dam School.
    Evelyn was a member of Fields of the Wood Church of God of Prophecy, where she served as missionary leader for several years and Sunday School superintendent.
    She was the daughter of the late Wiley Ranthum and Fannie Mashburn Price, and wife of the late William Pierson Campbell, who died Dec. 21, 1999. She also was preceded in death by an infant son, Jerry Campbell; three sisters, Charmia Kimsey, Mamie Floyd and Reba Raper; three brothers, Norbert, Herbert and Wiley R. Price Jr.; and one grandson, Bradley Campbell.
    Surviving are a daughter, Melinda Stiles of Hiwassee Dam; four sons, Michael Campbell and wife Carol of Blue Ridge, Ga., and E.P. “Pat” Campbell and wife Linda, Rodney Campbell and wife Cathy, and Terry John Campbell and wife Tammy, all of Hiwassee Dam; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, in Fields of the Wood Church of God of Prophecy with the Revs. Josh Ledford and Richard Morrow officiating and a family member giving the eulogy. The interment was in Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Israel, Matthew, Keith, Caleb and Austin Campbell, Trampas Stiles, Andy Whitener and Fred Price.
    The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22, at Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy, where the body remained until placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the services.

    Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy, was in charge of all arrangements.
