Ethel McTaggart Moore, 73, of Murphy, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018, at her home.
Mrs. Moore was born Dec. 19, 1944, in Tate, Ga., to the late James McTaggart and Mary Stamey McTaggart.
Ethel worked as a seamstress at Levi Strauss for many years. She enjoyed gardening in her spare time, growing both flowers and vegetables.
A member of Peachtree Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy Dean Moore; one son, Michael Moore; and one sister, Martha McTaggart.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Sheila Moore; son, Allen Moore; twin sister, Betty Roberts; sisters, Joan Priest and Ruby Dodd; brothers, Junior McTaggart, Charles McTaggart, Randal McTaggart and Glenn McTaggart; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 5, at Cochran Funeral Home, Murphy, with the Rev. Derek Tilley officiating. Interment followed in Peachtree Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers included Donald Moore, Allen Moore, Ethan Moore, Matthew Moore,Will Coleman and Ray Colon. The family received friends from noon-2 p.m. Thursday, July 5, at Cochran Funeral Home.
