Ellavee Allmon, 87, of Marble, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015, in Kings Mountain. She was a native of Cherokee County, and the daughter of the late Bascomb Granville and Arzona Bell Morrow Allmon.Ellavee was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, quilting and sewing. Ellavee was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, James Allmon; brother, Sheridan Allmon; and two sisters, Fleeta Bell and Flora McDonald. She is survived by one daughter, Revonda Gail Cobb of Kings Mountain; two brothers, Verlin Allmon of Hickory, and Frank Allmon of Marble; one sister, Virdie Vee Dalton of Zephyrhills, Fla.; one grandchild, Lamar Stewart; and two great-grandchildren, Catherine Stewart and Stephen Gomilar. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. The Rev. Walter Keith Cobb officiated. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Johnny Palmer, Daniel Cobb, Kenneth Allmon and Keith Cobb. The family received friends from noon-1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy.
