Danny Austin Baine, 60, of Warne, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at the Clay County Care Center.
He was a native of Cherokee County, and the son of the late Herman and Virginia Hayes Baine.
Danny was a U.S. Army veteran, serving his country for 11 years overseas in Germany, Fort Benning, Fort Knox and Fort Hood.
He was a heavy equipment operator, over the road truck driver and had done some directional drilling.
Danny was a loving husband, father and the best papa ever. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, his motorcycle, and singing and playing his guitar.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Joshua Howard; and the love of his life, his wife Brigitta McClure Baine.
He is survived by his daughter, Amber Baine Gilreath and husband Curtis of Warne; two grandchildren, Cutler Austin Baine and Autumn (Sadie) Gilreath; two brothers, Van Baine and Wayne Baine and wife Barbara; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services was held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 5, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville. The Revs. Ricky Rogers and Doug Howard officiated.
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 4, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville.
