Corban Ware, 92, of the Hot House community in Cherokee County, passed away Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, in a Murphy health-care facility.
A native of Cherokee County, he was the son of the late Birdie and Sim Ware.
He was retired from H.T. Hackney Co., and was a member of Temple Baptist Church for more than 50 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Mary Lou Dunn Ware, who passed away Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018; brothers, Gordon and Sam Ware; and sisters, Bessie Spurling, Willa Mae Higgins, Bobbie Moss and Maddie Gaddis.
Survivors include his children, Larry Ware and wife Linda of Cumming, Ga., Perry Ware and wife Donna of Murphy, David Ware and wife Kimberly of Morganton, Ga., and Joyce Ware Johnson of Gastonia; grandchildren, Michele Ware of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Brian Ware of New Bern, Whitney Ware of Charlotte, Kingston Ware of Morganton, Ga., Sam Richardson of Gaffney, S.C., and Debbie Barnett of Gastonia; five great-grandchildren; and brother, Earl Ware and wife Evelyn of Murphy.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, from Temple Baptist Church in Murphy, with the Revs. Don Padgett, Harvey Ware, and Steve Ware officiating. Music was provided by Wayne Morgan. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
The family received friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, at Temple Baptist Church.
