Bonnie J. Hicks, 71, of Cleveland, Tenn., passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at a local hospital.
She was a well known waitress for the Chalet and Holiday Inn for more than 30 years. For the last 15 years, she took care of seven families. Bonnie was an honorary member of the VFW. She was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include her husband, “Cowboy Jim” Hicks, well known realtor of Cleveland; children, Lisa Camacho and Gi Gi Whiting, both of Murphy, Sonya Francis of Ringgold, Ga., and Sheila Stepp of Cleveland; three stepchildren, James Allen Hicks, Danita Rose Hayes and Shavonda Michelle Hicks, all of Oklahoma City, Okla.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and three sisters-in-law, Nettie Jones, Marian Garner and Bonnie Sue Hardin.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 26, in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home in Cleveland, with the Rev. Dr. Eugene Garner officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Mike Francis, Timothy Whiting, Michael Rockmore, Eric Dunn, Isaac Hedrick and Rusty Tapley serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
Her family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, June 26, at the funeral home.
