Barbara Alice Farmer McCoy, 77, of Murphy, passed away Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016, at her residence.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, and the daughter of the late Robert and Braska Allen Farmer.
Barbara had worked for Levi’s.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Chris McCoy; three brothers, Archie Farmer, Mike Farmer and Roger Farmer; and three sisters, Virginia Radford, Vivian Craig and Ellen Bryant.
She is survived by her husband, Tim McCoy; one son, Jeff McCoy and wife Trish; two daughters, Felicia Maney and Tammy Hardin and husband Tracey; one sister, Vickie Skaggs; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Pastor Matt Mull will officiate Burial will be in Unaka Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeff McCoy, Timothy McCoy, Ethan McCoy, Don Farmer, Matthew Roper and Tracey Hardin.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy.
