Annetta Mae Spangrude, 83, of Murphy for 25 years, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 27, 2019. She passed away in the comfort of her home with her loving family.
Annetta was born March 21, 1936, in Spokane, Wash. Her loving parents were the late Merritt Francis and Julia Christine Maddux, who raised her in the Helena, Mont., area.
She is survived by her loving husband, George Henry Spangrude, whom she wed on Nov. 21, 1959; and her two loving sons, Daniel George and David Shaun Spangrude; as well as six grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one new great-great grandchild through Daniel and his wife, Martha.
Annetta led a rich and colorful life as a frontier child helping, cared for the horses her father rode in the International Rodeo Circuit, touring as a professional big band singer, caring for others as a nurse and later through counseling and ministry.
The family will be honoring Annetta privately at her graveside at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
