Boiling Springs – The 36th annual Western North Carolina Campmeeting began at Boiling Springs Baptist Church on Sunday morning and will continue through Thursday night.
Adam Dockery opened the evening service by inviting anyone in the group of worshippers to join the choir for introductory songs. Pastor Eddis Dockery welcomed people from congregations near and far to the yearly gathering.
Each day, participants gather for a 10:30 a.m. morning service and a 7 p.m. evening service, with pastors from a variety of churches coming to each. At Sunday’s evening service, three pastors from three different churches shared in fellowship with the other congregations.
Grape Creek Baptist Church Pastor Steve West delivered the sermon Sunday evening, focusing on how "there's life in word of God."
