Talk show to focus on local economy

    The next episode of the talk show Celebrate Cherokee County, produced by Cherokee Scout Publisher David Brown and Tim Radford of WKRK radio, will air from 2:05-3 p.m. Friday,
Sept. 7.
    The show, which airs on the first Friday of each month on WKRK radio (FM-105.5/AM-1320) and Facebook Live, is dedicated to all the good things happening in the place we call home.
    September’s show will focus on the local economy, with these special guests:
    • Cherokee County Economic Development Director Paul Worley from Tri-County Community College, who will talk about ongoing efforts to recruit industry, increase the tax base and bring more jobs to the area.
    • Retired county Economic Development Commission director Bill Forsyth and retired Emerson plant manager Curtis Brown, who will talk about the past, present and future of the local economy, and what existing businesses can do to help them succeed.
