    About 4,600 people are expected to attend this years Home & Garden June 9-10 at the Towns County Recreation and Conference Center in Young Harris, Ga.

Home & Garden Show coming soon

    Young Harris, Ga. – An estimated 4,600 people are expected to attend the Northeast Georgia/Western North Carolina Home & Garden Show set for Saturday and Sunday, June 9-10.
    This year’s event has been relocated to the new Towns County Recreation and Conference Center just off Georgia 515 at 150 Foster Park Road, just west of the Fieldstone Theatre. The hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon-5 p.m. Sunday.
    About 100 local and regional companies will display and present products and services for homeowners. Admission and parking are free. There will be hourly drawings, and door prizes also will be given away.
    Homeowners who attend the home and garden show are from Hiawassee, Young Harris, Blairsville, Blue Ridge and Ellijay, Ga., and Murphy, Andrews and Hayesville in  North Carolina.
    Jim Parks from HGTV is the celebrity guest. Parks will give three entertaining, educational seminars each day featuring “Update Your Kitchen and Bathroom,” “I
Need Curb Appeal” and “Change My Living Space.” Media sponsors are the Towns County Herald, North Georgia News, The News Observer, Cherokee Scout, Clay County Progress, Andrews Journal and radio stations WPPL, WJUL, WJRB, WCVP and WCNG.
