The May 17 edition of the Cherokee Scout is out ... Tri-County graduates, Marble fights for its school and more headlines

    Peachtree – Tri-County Community College students turned their tassels in unison during Friday’s graduation ceremony, signifying the dawn of a new era.
    “Remember the word commencement means the beginning of, not the end of,” art instructor Ray Kaylor said before the students walked.
    There were 173 degrees were conferred and 95 students walked in Friday’s ceremony.
    Besides leaving the college with associate’s degrees, each student gained valuable life skills and tips for pursuing their careers.
