    Treacy Ann Nugent Tatham, 74, of Murphy, passed away peacefully Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021.
    She joins her parents, Bunch Amos and Treacy Stewart Nugent, as well as her husband, Walter Leon Tatham, in her heavenly home.
    She is survived by her three sons, Samuel Walter Duncan Jr. and wife Karen; James Stewart Duncan and wife Andria; and Michael Nugent Duncan. She is also survived by two stepchildren, Leslie Tatham Wheeler and husband Allen and Lee Tatham and wife, Brooke. She was grandmother (TT) to Hayden Duncan, Harrison Duncan, Kiwi Rhodes Hancock, Hayley Duncan Blackwell, Georgia Wheeler, Seth Wheeler, Julius Tatham, Clover Tatham and Sailor Tatham. She was great-grandmother to Mayan Swint, Ella Swint, Kaybrie Berry and Sophia Duncan.
    Treacy was a devoted mother and homemaker until her boys were grown. She then worked for and retired from Cherokee County Schools, where she was a beloved teacher’s assistant in several elementary schools. Her interests included travel, art, music, following politics and attending events in which her grandchildren participated. She loved being outdoors.
    She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Murphy.
    Treacy was part of a lovely group of ladies who were her friends since her move to Murphy in the fourth grade, affectionately known as the Little Women’s Sewing Club. She was blessed with their lifelong companionship and memories of their travels, laughter and adventures.
    The family receive visitors from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, at the Chapel of Townson Rose Funeral Home.
    Funeral services immediately followed. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Peachtree following the funeral. Pallbearers were Hayden Duncan, Harrison Duncan, Allen Wheeler, Seth Wheeler, Josh Barton and Josh Cannon. Honorary pallbearers were Shane Hancock and Griffin Blackwell.
