I, Jeffrey Graves, having qualified as the Executor of the Estate of William Roy Graves, deceased, Estate File number 20-E-215, of Cherokee County, North Carolina, the undersigned does hereby notify all persons, firms and corporations having claims against the Estate of William Roy Graves to exhibit them to the undersigned attorney at the address below, on or before January 19th, 2021, or this notice will be pleaded in bar of their recovery. All persons, firms and corporations indebted to the said estate will please make immediate payment to the undersigned.

TOWN OF MURPHY
ADVERTISEMENT FOR SEALED BIDS FOR SALE OF REAL PROPERTY
Sealed bids for the sale by the Town of Murphy of 18.88 acres, more or less, Murphy Township, Cherokee County, North Carolina, a portion of which joins North Carolina Secondary Road No. 1365 commonly known as Reservoir Road near the entrance to Tanglewood Subdivision, are invited and will be received by the Town of Murphy until 2:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, the 5th day of November, 2020. Immediately thereafter all bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud.
A plat of a survey of the real property by Felix Edward Palmer, Jr., North Carolina Professional Land Surveyor No. L-3949, entitled "A Survey for Town of Murphy of Deed Book 73, Page 21, Murphy Township, Cherokee County, North Carolina" dated August 6, 2020, is available for review at the office of the Town Manager, 5 Wofford Street, Murphy, North Carolina, 28906.
Bid Forms are available at the office of the Town Manager of the Town of Murphy. Bidders must submit one signed original bid form which must be enclosed is a sealed envelope addressed to Town Manager, Town of Murphy.
The sealed envelope enclosing the Bid Form must be mailed to the Town Manager at Post Office Box 130, Murphy, North Carolina, 28906, or delivered to the Town Manager at 5 Wofford Street, Murphy, North Carolina, 28906.
The name and address of the bidder must be plainly marked on the outside of each envelope. The outside of each envelope must also be plainly marked Bid for Sale of Real Property.
After the bids have been received and opened the bids will be reported to the Board of Commissioners of the Town of Murphy which shall accept or reject the highest bid within 30 days thereafter.
The Board of Commissioners of the Town of Murphy reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and technicalities in the bidding procedure. A bid must be accepted and confirmed by the Board of Commissioners of the Town of Murphy, North Carolina, before the sale will be effective.
Upon the notification by the Board of Commissioners of the Town of Murphy of acceptance of a bid, the bidder shall, within 10 days thereafter, pay to the Town of Murphy a deposit in the amount of $5,000.00 towards the purchase price which deposit shall be forfeited upon failure of the bidder to close the sale within 60 days after notification of acceptance.
