    William Stinnett Hardin, 87, of Andrews, passed away Monday, June 7, 2021, at Solace with Care Partners in Asheville.
    He was a native of Cherokee County and a resident most of his life. He was born May 9, 1934, to the late Herbert and Hattie Holland Hardin, and was one of three children.
    He met and married Dorothy Loraine Lewis while living in Lexington, N.C., and they had three children – Tony, Belinda and Phil.
    Stinnett was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish.
    For over 50 years he was known as one of the best in the masonry field and specialized in custom rock work. One of his first jobs as a mason was on the Foxboro Stadium for the New England Patriots, in Foxborough, Mass.
    Stinnett had a wonderful sense of humor and was always smiling.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Alvin, and his sister, Jean.
    He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; one daughter, Belinda; son Tony and wife, Selena; and youngest son, Phil; his grandchildren: Jonathan and partner Autumn, Ben Hardin, Garrett Palmer, Kimberly and partner Laura, Jeremy and partner Brittany, Destiny and partner Clinton,
Hannah and Ema. In addition are 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
    A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 10, at Mountain View Community Church in Murphy.
