Hugh Youngblood Jr.

Hugh William “Bill” Youngblood Jr. went to be with his Lord the morning of Saturday, July 8, 2017.
Born Aug. 21, 1946, in Tampa, Fla., Bill was residing in Woodstock, Ga., with his wife, Nadine, the love of his life. At the time of his death, Bill and Nadine were staying at Bill’s favorite place, their home in the beautiful mountains of Murphy.
Bill’s greatest treasure in this world was his family.
Surviving him are his wife, Nadine Evelyn Youngblood; son, Gene Frazee and wife Gina; four daughters, Denise Savely and husband Wayne, Doreen Buben and husband Ray, Michelle Edwards and Kimberly Turner; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Turnbull and her son, Hugh Holton; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and in-laws.
He was the leader of his family in all ways and his wisdom, guidance and care for each will be greatly missed.
Bill had a great love for life ... he cherished his family, his friends, good food, sharing laughter, music, books, politics, travel and especially fishing.
Jesus was the foundation of everything Bill did whether it was his family or his business. His love for Jesus guided his life and directed his steps in all things.  He was an extraordinary leader and teacher, always willing to help others grow and succeed.
He was passionate about being a great financial planner as he helped improve the quality of life for hundreds throughout his career.
He served through missions and on many ministry boards. He was devoted to his minister friends.
He fervently loved our country and was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant from the United States Army.
Relatives and friends of Bill and Nadine were invited to a Celebration of Life at noon  Saturday, July 15, in the sanctuary at Mount Paran Church of God, 2055 Mount Paran Road NE, Atlanta, GA  30327.
The family received visitors starting at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to White Fields Missions in Honduras (www.whitefieldsmissions.net) or Reid’s Chapel United Methodist Church, 4281 Lower Bear Paw Road, Murphy, NC 28906.
