Gerda Flowers, 84, of Andrews, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022.
She was the daughter of the late Josef and Agnes Krause.
Gerda had been a homemaker. She was a kind, patient, selfless person who was devoted to her family. She understood the value of self-sufficiency by gardening and sewing. She also enjoyed quilting and visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her spouse, Oliver Flowers; a brother, Reinert Krause; and a sister, Lydia Krause.
Surviving are three sons, Edwin Flowers, Larry Flowers and wife Freda, and Brian Flowers and wife Courtney; a daughter, Linda Truett and husband Tony; a sister, Ursula Nelson; brother-in-law, Don Flowers; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at Grace Fellowship Baptist Church in Andrews with Pastor Chuck Davis officiating. Interment was in Valleytown Cemetery. Family served as pallbearers.
The family received friends from noon-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, prior to the services.
Townson-Rose Funeral Home, Andrews, was in charge of all arrangements.
