Zannie Lee Harris, 80, of Murphy, passed away Friday, Dec. 2, 2022.
She was the daughter of the late Lester and Nettie Hyde Chastain.
Zannie was a faithful member of Sunny Point Baptist Church and loved her church family. She loved singing gospel songs, watching her grandkids play sports, cooking and caring for others.
In addition to the parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Harris.
Surviving are three sons, Allen Harris and wife Leslie, Scott Harris and wife Pam, and Ronald Harris and wife Autumn; brother, Steve Chastain and wife Lois; sister, Teresa Schmaldinst and husband Paul; grandchildren, Josh Harris and wife Emily, Seth Harris and wife Mikayla, Jenna Johnson and husband Toronto, Jacob Harris and wife Kimberley, Hanna Gray and husband Zack, Brady Harris, Tyler Harris, Ella Harris and Daegan Harris; and great-grandchildren, Tanner Taylor, Abby Harris, Ryleigh Harris, Skylar Johnson, Tristan Harris and Ruby Harris.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, at Sunny Point Baptist Church with the Revs. Kenny Corn and Allen Harris officiating. The Rev. Ronnie Dilbeck officiated the graveside service. Interment was in Ledford Cemetery (Sunny Point). Pallbearers were Josh, Jacob, Seth, Brady and Daegan Harris, and David Chastain. Honorary pallbearers were Joel Harris, Shannon Palmer, Tyler Harris and Tanner Taylor.
The family received friends from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, at Sunny Point Baptist Church.
