Kathryn “Katie” Stanley, 85, of Murphy, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2023.
She was a native of New Jersey and had served in the United States Air Force.
Katie lived most of her life in Jacksonville and Daytona, Fla. She worked as a dispatcher for a large trucking company while living there. She moved and then lived several years in Santa Rosa and Shingletown, Calif., where she met her partner, Connie. Katie and Connie moved to Murphy in 2004. She loved people and spending time with her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as two sisters, Alice Cook and Francis Valentine, and two brothers, Frankie and Nicky Thompson.
Surviving is her partner of 40 years, Connie Devine of Murphy. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
No services are planned at this time.
Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy, is in charge of arrangements.
